Support Community in Democracy Alliance (SCODA) is a small, entirely locally founded and led organization based in Siaya County, Kenya. Despite operating on a shoestring budget, we are committed to making a significant impact in our community through our dedicated efforts and innovative approaches.

Our team is composed of passionate individuals who are deeply rooted in the community and understand the unique challenges faced by our people. We pride ourselves on our ability to mobilize resources and create meaningful change with limited means.

One of the cornerstones of our work is our paralegal training program. This program has been the driving force behind much of our rights-focused work, equipping community members with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their rights and navigate the legal system. Our trained paralegals play a crucial role in our efforts to secure community land rights, fight against unjust land allocations, and push for the registration of community land.

Our Approach

Locally Founded, Community Driven

We are a grassroots organization, born and led entirely by local community members who deeply understand the challenges we aim to address. With limited resources and an unwavering commitment, we’ve achieved incredible impact on a shoestring budget, proving that passion and skill can make a world of difference.

Our paralegal training program has been the cornerstone of our rights-focused initiatives, equipping community members with the knowledge and tools to advocate for justice and equality.
